Objective of job
As a Project Lead at Mercedes-Benz Management Consulting, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of the company. Your responsibilities will include developing strategies and solutions for the top management of Mercedes-Benz, managing complex projects, and fostering the growth of your team. You will also engage in internal initiatives beyond project work, contributing to the continuous improvement of the consulting practice.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies and solutions and take responsibility for final project deliverables: Understand clients’ business environments, challenges, and goals; define the project scope and approach; oversee feasible solutions; provide key insights; and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients: Build client relationships, provide strategic guidance, communicate project progress, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Lead, manage, and coach project teams: Provide direction, mentor and coach team members, manage performance, and allocate resources effectively.
- Support business development of MBMC China: Identify business opportunities, contribute to proposals and pitches, support client acquisition, and represent MBMC China at internal events and networking opportunities.
- Participate in internal initiatives: Contribute to training, recruiting, diversity, and joint activities with the MBMC headquarters team.
Qualifications
- Excellent academic degree, preferably complemented by an advanced degree.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in international strategy consulting or corporate strategy within the automotive industry or related sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
- International experience through extended assignments abroad is a plus.
- Excellent consulting and/or automotive industry expertise, high analytical and conceptual skills, and the ability to abstract complex issues for decision-makers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with top management.
- Teamwork and mentoring experience.
- Fluent English is mandatory; fluent German or Chinese is preferred.
