Tasks

General book-keeping

  • Ensure proper and timely accounting entries in the Company’s accounting system SAP in accordance with Company’s accounting guidelines.
  • Ensure that the Company is always in compliance with local and IFRS accounting standards and local tax laws. Constantly monitor changes to accounting and tax regulations and evaluate their impact on company procedures.
  • Ensure processes are adhered to and continuously improved, including keeping policies, guidelines, and working instructions updated.
  • Ensure SAP/CMS reconciliations of portfolios and other balances are completed.
  • Contribute to the design of effective internal controls to prevent fraudulent transactions or errors.
  • Ensure testing of the CMS system is completed and accounting postings are correct.

Tax Reporting

  • Ensure correct and timely tax filing and processing for corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable local tax compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Revenue Department on matters including VAT, withholding tax, and the CIT refund process.

Financial Reporting

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, accounting information, and surveys for local and global management.

Accounting and Other Projects

  • Support special assignments and global project rollouts, such as GALA and e-tax invoices.
  • Coordinate and implement improvements in operational processes with financial reporting impact.
  • Implement measures for significant internal control deficiencies, Corporate Audit findings, and other areas of improvement.
  • Handle and oversee audit matters and ensure internal coordination with other departments.

Treasury Accounting

  • Ensure treasury administration tasks are completed, including processing bank guarantees, paperwork for opening and closing bank accounts, and updating LoAS and electronic banking access rights.

Personnel Management

  • Lead, motivate, and develop allocated employees through target agreements and performance evaluations based on the mission statement.
  • Ensure target-oriented internal Finance and Controlling communication.
  • Provide task-related compliance qualifications for employees.
  • Inform and instruct allocated employees on applicable compliance regulations.
  • Control proper implementation of Finance and Controlling regulations.
  • Ensure the Finance and Controlling team complies with all applicable group and local rules, regulations, safety and economic requirements, working-hour regulations, policies, and defined processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or master’s degree in a business-related field.
  • At least 10 years of work experience, preferably including 5 years at manager level.
  • Audit experience from a Big Four firm; CPA qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience submitting group reporting packages.
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards, IFRS, VAT, and relevant Thai tax law.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work productively and maintain effective relationships in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership competency, teamwork, ownership, and accountability.
