Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
Lead the Non-Trade Procurement and Travel organization for North America, enabling adidas to create measurable enterprise value through strategic sourcing, supplier innovation, disciplined governance, AI-enabled insights, and future-ready procurement capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate the global Procurement strategy into clear North America priorities, actionable roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
- Deliver savings, value creation, risk mitigation, and productivity targets for the market.
- Lead, drive, and develop market teams and specialized talent.
- Embed AI, automation, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision-making into source-to-pay activities.
- Develop and oversee market travel category strategies and supplier portfolios.
- Drive optimization of travel and meetings programs to improve efficiency, employee experience, compliance, and financial performance.
- Manage the Procurement organization, budget, governance, source-to-pay processes, and annual action plan.
- Provide strategic leadership for North America Travel Management, including policy, compliance, traveler communications, risk management, and supplier performance.
- Build stakeholder and supplier relationships and provide executive oversight of strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expertise in sourcing, procurement methodologies, supplier management, procurement transformation, procure-to-pay tools, risk, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of corporate travel management, strategic sourcing across indirect spend and travel categories, and large-scale travel programs.
- Strong financial acumen, analytical, communication, presentation, influencing, and change management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, e-sourcing such as Ariba, and P2P tools.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Procurement, Legal, or a related field, or comparable professional education.
- At least 12–15 years of experience in equivalent procurement leadership roles within international organizations.
- Experience leading large indirect spend categories, strategic supplier relationships, enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives, and corporate travel programs.
- Strong people leadership experience within global matrix organizations.
adidas offers a hybrid work policy requiring office attendance Monday through Thursday, with flexibility to work remotely on Friday. The working location is Portland, Oregon.
