Your Role

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Consultant with hands-on experience supporting Engineering and R&D transformation programs, including PLM, model-based engineering, digital thread, digital twin, and related digital engineering initiatives.

The role combines engineering domain knowledge with consulting skills to assess current-state processes, define improvement opportunities, translate technical requirements into business value, and help clients accelerate their digital transformation agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to engineering and digital transformation programs across Engineering and R&D functions, particularly within Manufacturing, Automotive, and Aerospace & Defense environments.
  • Support model-based initiatives, including Model-Based Engineering, Model-Based Enterprise, PLM, MBSE, digital twins, and digital thread solutions.
  • Execute engineering transformation projects for clients as a team player.
  • Support proposals, client presentations, and contract pursuits.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technology advancements.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Use data, analytics, and AI-enabled insights to optimize engineering performance and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape digital roadmaps and define future-state operating models.
  • Travel up to approximately 50%, including onsite work at client locations as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Must have:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in digital engineering, software delivery, or technology consulting, with a track record of owning and delivering workstreams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with transformation programs within Engineering or R&D for Manufacturing, Automotive, or Aerospace & Defense.
  • Strong understanding of the value of MBE and PLM solutions and approaches.
  • Understanding of PLM processes and experience with model-based engineering, model-based enterprise, digital twins, and digital thread.
  • Ability to solve complex business problems using structured thinking, data, and technology-enabled approaches.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Exposure to AI or GenAI use cases in software engineering.
  • Consulting or advisory experience, including client-facing delivery and proposal development.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific digital engineering trends.
  • Contributions to thought leadership or engineering innovation initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $105,600–$199,480.
