Senior Buyer, NDDC Merchandising - Field Sports

For Nike merchants, everything begins and ends with the consumer. The Senior Buyer will curate consumer-right assortments for the NDDC business using historical data, analytics, and real-time market feedback to advise future seasons while optimizing in-season performance.

Who you’ll work with

You will work with merchants, buyers, and cross-functional teams within Nike Direct, including Digital and Stores Buying, Geo Sport Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Brand Marketing, Site Experience, operations, and insights and analytics teams.

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• 4+ years of experience in footwear or apparel buying and/or merchandising, product creation, or retail in a vertical, multi-brand, or digital environment.
• Strong affinity for current market trends and Nike apparel’s position in the marketplace.
• Footwear, apparel, equipment, or relevant consumer product buying and/or merchandising experience.
• Understanding of retail and digital performance metrics, including sell-through, turn, ASP, demand, and conversion.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action.
• Ability to balance art and science in decision-making and respond with speed, agility, curiosity, and motivation.

What you’ll work on

• Own bringing seasonal assortments to life on Nike Direct Digital.
• Coordinate across sports, Nike and Jordan brands, and related products and collections.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure assortment plans meet consumer demand and strategic objectives.
• Develop consumer-centric assortment plans across multiple seasons using fact-based and intuitive inputs.
• Participate in seasonal buy reviews and in-season trading to optimize growth with key partners.
