Purpose
Assist customers in determining which products and services best fit their needs and interest them in adidas merchandise. Promote merchandise sales by meeting or exceeding productivity standards, maintain awareness of product information and promotions, maintain inventory, provide customer service, and complete accurate sales transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting adidas merchandise and provide information about products, materials, technology, and functionality.
- Uphold adidas customer service standards by listening to customer needs and providing product information.
- Drive and close sales using adidas selling techniques and the in-store AOS system where available.
- Complete customer sales transactions using cash, credit, debit, and other payment methods.
- Maintain store appearance, process and replenish merchandise, and assist with customer service inquiries.
- Maintain knowledge of adidas products, programs, promotions, and advertising.
- Support a collaborative team environment and adhere to adidas brand values, sales competencies, and company policies.
- Assist with telephone duties and inventory control.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information to customers and employees.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use a point-of-sale system.
- Good judgment, decision-making, verbal and written communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, statutory holidays, and overtime during peak sales periods.
- Must be proficient in English and French, verbally and in writing.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and lifting up to 12 kg frequently and up to 34 kg occasionally.
Qualifications
- Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
- Three to six months of retail experience is preferred.
