SAP TM Specialist – Aftersales Automotive Logistics

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated SAP Transportation Management (TM) Specialist to join our global team within the Aftersales Automotive Logistics domain. As a key member of a cross-functional international scrum team, you will support the design, implementation, and optimization of transportation processes using SAP S/4HANA TM at a wholesale level. This role focuses on enhancing logistics efficiency, ensuring seamless delivery execution, and improving transportation visibility across the value chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and optimize transportation processes to drive operational excellence and reduce logistics costs.
  • Support the implementation of SAP S/4HANA TM, aligning system functionality with transportation business needs at the wholesale level.
  • Work closely with product owners, scrum team members, and stakeholders across regions to deliver transportation solutions in an Agile environment.
  • Develop, execute, and document test cases to validate that SAP TM solutions meet defined business and functional requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of inbound transportation processes, including supplier-to-warehouse flows, goods receipt, and warehouse integration with EWM.
  • Experience with automotive return processes, including core returns and warranty returns handled via inbound TM.
  • Exposure to freight unit building rules (FUBR) and DTR determination logic.
  • Practical experience with SAP TM functionalities including freight order management, carrier collaboration, and route optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, particularly TM module implementation and integration with inbound delivery processing.
  • Exposure to EDI/XML-based communication with carriers or middleware systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as SAFe.
  • Ability to derive, organize, and execute detailed test scenarios and document outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.
  • Certifications in SAP TM, SAP S/4HANA, Agile/SAFe, or Scrum are highly desirable.
