About the role
As an SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Solution Architect, you will shape and govern cloud ERP transformations using SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. You will translate business strategy and requirements into an integrated, fit-to-standard solution that is scalable, secure and aligned with SAP best practices.
Working across the full opportunity and delivery lifecycle, you will partner with customers, sales, presales, functional and technical teams to provide architectural and functional leadership. You will guide decisions around standardisation, integration, data, security, analytics, extensibility and adoption, while promoting Clean Core principles and successful delivery using SAP Activate.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition programmes, leading discovery, solutioning and Fit-to-Standard workshops.
- Define and govern functional, integration, data, security, analytics and extensibility architecture.
- Promote standardisation and Clean Core principles, determining the appropriate use of in-app, side-by-side and partner solutions.
- Shape the use of SAP Business AI Platform, integrations, workflows, APIs and extensions while maintaining ERP core integrity.
- Provide architectural governance throughout design, build, test, deployment and hypercare using SAP Activate.
- Support presales and customer engagement, including Digital Discovery Assessments, opportunity qualification, solution strategy, demonstrations, estimates, proposals, presentations and workshops.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
Essential skills and experience
- Significant SAP solution architecture experience across ERP transformation programmes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, SAP Cloud ERP or GROW with SAP, including Digital Discovery Assessment experience.
- Strong knowledge of Fit-to-Standard, SAP Best Practices, SAP Activate and Clean Core.
- Broad cross-functional and end-to-end process understanding across areas such as Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Asset Management or Projects.
- Strong understanding of SAP integration, APIs, extensibility, identity and security, data migration and analytics, with knowledge of SAP Business AI Platform.
- Proven ability to lead architectural and design-authority discussions and influence senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience supporting proposals, estimates, statements of work, delivery mobilisation and SAP solution demonstrations.
Desirable skills
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition or relevant SAP solution architecture certification.
- Experience with SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Signavio, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business AI or Joule.
- Experience of three-tier ERP, public sector, manufacturing or other regulated-industry environments.
- Understanding of organisational change, business process transformation and adoption planning.
Additional requirements
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance. The role is UK-based; remote working is available, with national mobility required. Experience working with third parties, SAP partners and distributed onshore, nearshore and offshore delivery teams would be beneficial.
