Job Description
Application Consultants understand client business processes and map them to the technologies being used, distinguishing between standard implementations and required customizations or extensions. They may functionally customize applications, partner with developers on enhancements, and work with business users to implement process changes.
Role Responsibilities
The SAP P2P Consultant designs, optimizes, and implements Procure-to-Pay business processes within SAP environments. The role requires functional expertise in procurement, purchasing, supplier management, inventory management, invoice processing, and payment workflows, along with the ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
- Lead requirements-gathering workshops with business stakeholders.
- Analyze procurement and accounts payable processes and recommend improvements.
- Configure and implement SAP P2P solutions aligned with business objectives and best practices.
- Support design, build, testing, training, deployment, and hypercare activities.
- Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on developments and integrations.
- Conduct system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
- Provide subject matter expertise on procurement, sourcing, purchasing, invoice verification, and supplier management.
- Advise clients on SAP functionality, process optimization, and transformation initiatives, including S/4HANA migrations.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, controls, and procurement governance standards.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and stay current with SAP innovations and industry trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience with SAP Materials Management and Procure-to-Pay processes.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, or support engagements.
- In-depth understanding of purchasing, inventory management, invoice management, vendor master data, and Finance integration.
- Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and provide strategic recommendations.
- Experience supporting testing cycles, training activities, and change management efforts.
- SAP certifications in MM, S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement, or related areas are highly preferred.
