Position Overview

Hands-on SAP ABAP / S/4HANA Technical Consultant with 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, enhancing and supporting SAP solutions across traditional ABAP and modern S/4HANA technologies.

Strong expertise in RICEFW development, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows, with solid experience in ABAP Objects, OData, CDS Views, RAP, Gateway and S/4HANA development.

Experience with modern SAP extensibility and Clean Core principles, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), SAP Event Mesh, SAP Workflow and BRF+ is expected. Exposure to SAP Joule and AI-assisted development is an added advantage.

• RICEFW: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows, RFC, BAPI, IDoc, Proxy, OData, REST/SOAP, BDC, LSMW, BAdI, User/Customer Exits, Smart Forms, SAPscript and Adobe Forms.
• S/4HANA: Code Pushdown, Modern Open SQL, CDS, AMDP, HANA-aware ABAP, Released APIs, Extensibility and Custom Code Migration.
• CDS Views: View entities, basic/composite/consumption views, associations, annotations, parameters, authorization, analytical CDS and metadata extensions.
• OData / Gateway: OData V2/V4, SEGW, entity types and sets, associations, navigation, CRUD, deep insert, query options and Gateway troubleshooting.
• RAP: Managed and unmanaged RAP, behavior definitions and implementations, projections, service definitions and bindings, draft, validations, determinations, actions, feature control, authorization, EML and OData V4.
• SAP BTP and CAP: BTP architecture, subaccounts, destinations, connectivity, Cloud Connector, HANA Cloud, Integration Suite, BAS, Work Zone, Cloud Foundry, CAP architecture, CDS modeling, services, events and deployment.
• Clean Core: In-App, developer and side-by-side extensibility, released APIs/CDS, BAdIs, ATC and custom code management.
• AI / Joule: SAP Joule exposure, AI-assisted coding, code explanation and optimization, legacy ABAP modernization and developer productivity.
• Integration and tools: SAP Event Mesh, event-driven architecture, SAP Workflow, BRF+, business events, ADT, Eclipse, SAP GUI, BAS, Gateway Client, ST22, SM37, SLG1, SAT, ST05, SCI, ATC and Git/GitHub.

Job Description

• Develop and maintain SAP ABAP solutions for S/4HANA environments.
• Analyze business requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop RICEFW objects, reusable ABAP classes, function modules, reports, APIs and enhancement implementations.
• Design and develop CDS Views and OData services for S/4HANA and Fiori applications.
• Design and develop applications using RAP and Fiori Elements.
• Analyze legacy custom code and identify modernization opportunities.
• Implement SAP Clean Core solutions using released APIs, CDS Views, BAdIs and extension points.
• Develop proofs of concept using RAP, CAP and SAP BTP.
• Support integration scenarios using APIs, RFC, IDoc, OData and event-based integration.
• Troubleshoot performance and production issues using debugging and performance analysis tools.
• Perform ATC analysis and resolve code quality and S/4HANA readiness findings.
• Participate in technical design, estimation, code reviews, testing, deployment and production support.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, solution architects, integration teams and business stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in SAP ABAP / S/4HANA technical consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Expert-level SAP ABAP, RICEFW and ABAP Objects skills.
• Advanced S/4HANA, CDS Views, OData and RAP skills.
• Working knowledge of SAP Clean Core, SAP BTP, CAP, Workflow and BRF+ preferred.
• Hands-on development, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration and mentoring abilities.
