Retail Store Sales Associate I - Oshawa, 2035, Ontario, Canada

Purpose

Contributes to meeting or exceeding store sales and profit targets by supporting new joiners, celebrating individual uniqueness, inspiring consumer loyalty, building emotional connections with customers, and supporting store operations and processes.

Key Accountabilities

• Work toward store and individual targets using all available store resources.
• Follow store policies and procedures to maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
• Collaborate respectfully with team members to meet or exceed store goals.
• Welcome learning opportunities and support other team members when needed.
• Meet and exceed customer expectations using the adidas customer service model.
• Act as a passionate and enthusiastic adidas Brand ambassador.
• Build product knowledge and apply it to customer service within assigned store zones.
• Maintain an appealing, easy-to-shop environment through visual merchandising and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain sales-floor awareness to minimize loss.
• Complete sales transactions accurately while following cash protection procedures.
• Use selling expertise at the cash desk to create add-on sales and build customer loyalty.
• Handle returns, refunds, and exchanges as opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
• Assist with deliveries and replenish the sales floor.
• Prioritize merchandise flow to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain an effective stockroom environment and adequate supplies where applicable.

Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience

• Knowledge of computers, POS systems, and software packages including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

The role regularly requires talking or hearing and frequently requires standing, walking, using hands, and reaching. Employees may occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and operate a Brannock device. The role frequently requires lifting or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of retail experience.
• Basic numeracy, literacy, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to demonstrate career development.
