Retail Store Sales Associate I - Cookstown, 2007, Ontario, Canada

Purpose

Contributes to meeting or exceeding store sales and profit targets by supporting new joiners, championing individual uniqueness, inspiring consumer loyalty to the brand, achieving store KPI targets, serving and selling to customers, supporting store operations, and role modelling consumer centricity.

Key Accountabilities

• Works to meet or exceed store and individual targets using all available resources.
• Complies with store policies and procedures to maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
• Collaborates respectfully with team members to meet or exceed store goals.

• Meets and exceeds customer expectations using the adidas customer service model.

• Uses product knowledge to support customers within assigned store zones.
• Maintains an appealing, easy-to-shop environment through visual merchandising and housekeeping standards.
• Maintains sales floor awareness to minimize loss while serving customers.
• Completes sales transactions accurately while following cash protection procedures.
• Uses selling expertise at the cash desk to create add-on sales and build customer loyalty.
• Handles returns, refunds, and exchanges when required.
• Assists with deliveries and replenishes the sales floor.
• Prioritizes merchandise flow to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintains supplies and an effective stockroom environment where applicable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Skilled in operating personal computers, POS systems, and software packages including MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to lead discussions in diverse groups.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

The role regularly requires talking or hearing and frequently requires standing, walking, using hands, and reaching. It occasionally requires sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
• Three to six months of experience working in a retail environment.
• Basic numeracy, literacy, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
