Job Overview
Analyze and investigate consumer and commercial retail and lease credit applications for passenger cars and vans. Make decisions to mitigate MBFS credit risk while supporting and maximizing service levels for dealer partners. Build relationships with dealers and Dealer Relations Managers to maximize working relationships and increase MBFS retail and lease penetration.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, decide and investigate retail and lease credit applications, and communicate decisions to dealers through the ACE system and telephone in a timely manner. Negotiate conditional approvals with dealers when necessary and execute buying strategies for the dealer body as directed by management. 60%
- Build positive dealer relations to increase market penetration while providing professional, courteous, consultative and timely customer service. Support Dealer Relations Managers as an inside sales force and help sell the benefits of MBFS retail programs. 20%
- Participate in ongoing development activities, including training, coaching and team meetings, to improve underwriting skills. Complete assignments and reporting responsibilities supporting information sharing and continuous improvement of the Retail Credit team. 10%
- Support eContracting and eDiscounting by working directly with dealers and Case360 to correct mismatch errors between contracts and the MBFS credit system. Act as liaison between dealers and the funding department. 10%
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application.
- Minimum of 2 years of overall work experience.
- Preferred experience includes 2 years in business-general, 1 year in collections, 1 year in customer service or experience in remarketing.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Analytical, PC, corporate mainframe and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to integrate information from varied sources and complexity levels.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
