About the role

As a Retail Assistant at Primark, you will help customers enjoy an incredible shopping experience while supporting the smooth operation of the store.

Contract and schedule

• Contract: Temporary
• Annual hours: 896 hours
• Average weekly hours: 20 hours
• Shifts: 07:00–15:00, 10:00–18:00, or 14:30–22:30

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with an excellent experience by answering questions about sizes, styles, purchases and returns.
• Prepare the sales floor, replenish shelves, organise fitting rooms and display the latest trends.
• Keep the stockroom tidy and well organised.
• Provide a fast, friendly and efficient checkout experience, handling customer queries, cancellations and returns.
• Receive, process and check new deliveries, move products to the sales floor and ensure prices are correct.
• Maintain Primark’s high standards at all times.

About you

• Passion for working with people and creating incredible experiences.
• Honesty, good communication and strong listening skills.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Teamwork, motivation, a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Interest in fashion and the latest trends.
• Ideally, previous experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Knowledge of languages, including sign language, is valued.
