P/T Retail Sales Associate - adidas Brentwood retail store (#2066)

Purpose

Assist customers in determining which products and services best fit their needs, promote merchandise sales, maintain inventory, and provide customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting adidas merchandise and provide information about products, materials, technology, functionality, promotions, and advertising.
• Uphold adidas customer service standards and use adidas selling techniques and the in-store AOS system where available.
• Complete cash, credit, and debit sales transactions.
• Maintain store appearance, process and replenish merchandise, and assist with customer service inquiries.
• Support a collaborative team environment and adhere to adidas brand values, sales associate competencies, company policies, and inventory-control procedures.
• Assist with telephone duties and perform other duties as required by store management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information to customers and employees.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and use a point-of-sale system, including cash register functions and procedures.
• Good judgment, decision-making, verbal and written communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, statutory holidays, and overtime during peak sales periods.
• Must be proficient in English and French, verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 12 kg frequently and up to 34 kg occasionally.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
• Three to six months of retail experience is preferred.
