Tasks
This position is aimed at leading electrical and electronics cross-domain discussions to ensure and consolidate overall EE topics during early vehicle development. The role defines feasible feature portfolios from a technical perspective, safeguards EE maturity, coordinates technical assessments with MGS for MB.OS scope, and ensures the correct committee flow through MB.OS and carline committees, with a focus on infotainment, ADAS, and Body EE comfort functions for Mercedes-Benz and BBAC joint venture activities.
- Lead discussions and alignment of overall EE technical assessments with HQ and relevant EE domains from a carline perspective, including ADAS, telematics, body comfort, and eDrive.
- Drive each carline’s feature rollout plan in collaboration with BTVs, FOs, and the PM team.
- Lead and organize cross-department meetings to discuss and align EE technical assessment and feasibility study topics.
- Provide regular transparency on overall EE development status to management and relevant departments, including the BBAC plant.
- Provide and align input in the digital phase to HQ and the PM team about China-specific features from an overall vehicle perspective.
- Act as the connection hub between the EE release manager and testing engineer in the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical engineering, computer science, vehicle engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience at OEMs or suppliers in E/E, especially telematics or ADAS development or testing.
- At least 5 years of project management experience in a multicultural business environment.
- Good knowledge of vehicle development, testing, and production processes.
- Ability to understand software and hardware development cycles, vehicle architectures, and testing methodologies.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-responsibility, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, teamwork, and excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and conflict-management skills.
- Solid knowledge of vehicle EE architectures, network technologies, and communication mechanisms.
- Advanced MS Office skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Fluent Chinese and English language skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of vehicle CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, and EE architecture is a plus.
