Objective of job

Drive and coordinate all R&D-related activities for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars on current midsize BEV carlines and upcoming new carlines. Lead all required development activities as Project Lead Development (PLE) according to MDS, ensuring China requirements are considered for the platform from the early project phase for all China-relevant derivatives.

Later, shift the focus to the PbP vehicle ramp-up at BBAC. Safeguard the achievement of relevant project milestones regarding maturity, costs, and timing. Communicate and coordinate tasks between responsible engineers, model and commodity groups, commodity group leaders, and project management in China and Germany.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in automotive engineering or a relevant field; a master's degree is preferred.
Five years of experience in overall vehicle development.

Experience

Experience as a project manager, such as in vehicle launch and part development.
Strong project network with headquarters.
Fluent English language skills; Chinese skills are beneficial.
High level of responsibility, proactivity, and ability to deal with stress and conflicts.
Strong leadership ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
Intercultural competence and communication skills with various levels and departments.
