Tasks
Product Management Mid-Size Cars (C-Class, GLC-Class)
- Manage the entire lifecycle of the respective products by ensuring competitiveness in product substance, product specifications, pricing and brand coherent image.
- Initiate ideas to improve the responsible product lineup.
- Propose and ensure new and changed model specifications within the product lifecycle.
- Reach agreement on pricing of responsible products through flexibility and compromise.
- Manage relevant decision processes, especially regarding lineup, pricing, volume and special equipment, to create positive business cases.
Product Communication
- Provide the necessary level of product information to all internal departments and the dealer network.
- Initiate and influence regular exchanges on product-related topics with relevant stakeholders.
- Steer and ensure alignment of relevant departments, including Retail, O&L, DB, Marketing, Public Relations, Homologation, CS and Finance, to prepare successful market launches and product changes.
- Ensure accurate and timely provision of product information for alignment with short- and mid-term volume planning.
- Represent the brand and respective products at internal and external events.
Market & Product Analysis
- Analyze competitors and investigate opportunities to strengthen product positioning, including transaction price studies.
- Identify key market and product issues and priorities for offering strategy to ensure attractive and competitive products according to market and customer needs.
Special Project Product Management
- Lead special product-related projects such as automation, ordering platforms, master data maintenance, special editions, launching strategy and non-serial disposal.
- Manage internal guideline revisions, including sales release and pricing guidelines, considering new initiatives and processes in product management.
Qualifications
- Minimum B.A. degree in business administration or engineering.
- 5–10 years of professional experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Experience in at least one of product management, sales or market intelligence.
- Good knowledge of the Korean automotive market, including domestic and imported brands.
- Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Presentation skills for different audiences, including operational discussions.
- English proficiency; German is preferred.
- Numerical evaluation skills and an analytical mindset.
