Job Purpose
Procurement Manager – Logistics & Customs is a senior strategic role responsible for driving procurement excellence across logistics, supply chain, and customs operations. Managing complex, high-value contracts and partnerships, this position ensures cost optimization, compliance with international trade regulations, and risk mitigation in a dynamic marketplace. The role demands deep expertise in logistics pricing, customs governance, and sustainability integration, while leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for transportation, warehousing, and customs brokerage services, aligned with HEINEKEN’s global procurement standards.
- Lead negotiations and manage contracts with logistics service providers, customs agents, and freight forwarders.
- Monitor vendor performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost per shipment, and customs clearance lead time.
Customs Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, including accurate HS code classification, documentation, and duty optimization.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve clearance delays and mitigate import/export risks.
Logistics Trade Terms & Cost Optimization
- Drive cost transparency and savings through segmentation strategies, rate card standardization, and volume-based pricing models.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through route optimization and carrier consolidation.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Own the logistics KPI framework covering profitability, capital returns, sustainability, and growth.
- Use Power BI and Daily Control Systems to monitor performance and support decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams to ensure logistics and customs strategies support business continuity and cost efficiency. Act as the procurement lead in cross-functional initiatives such as Customer to Supply and Joint Business Planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of international trade compliance, sustainability frameworks, and risk management preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, particularly logistics, supply chain, and customs operations and management.
- Deep knowledge of logistics markets and commercial pricing across logistics modes.
- Experience negotiating with customs authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Fluent Vietnamese and English, written and spoken.
- Experience managing complex, high-value contracts and applying cost optimization in logistics and customs management.
- Ability to use digital tools for logistics optimization and sustainability integration.
- Proven leadership of high-performing teams, cross-functional initiatives, and change management on cross-border initiatives.
