Tasks
At the Mercedes-Benz Untertürkheim plant, the team develops innovative and energy-efficient manufacturing technologies for future powertrain components, from the first prototype through series production.
- Conduct literature research on work-related topics
- Perform thermomechanical 3D FEM and CFD analyses for various joining processes
- Evaluate and interpret simulation results
- Validate models using experiments
The position can start in April 2026.
Qualifications
- Degree program in Computational Science, simulation technology, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanics, or a comparable discipline
- FEM and CFD knowledge is required
- Theoretical and practical experience with welding and bonding processes is desirable
- Knowledge of LS-DYNA and Star-CCM+ is desirable
- Confident use of MS Office
- Fluent German and English, written and spoken
- Analytical and conceptual thinking, teamwork, structured working methods, communication skills, and commitment
