Job Description
- Powernet responsibility
- Take technical responsibility for vehicle low-voltage powernet functions across requirement clarification, system integration, validation, and issue handling.
- Analyze and derive system requirements for 12V powernet functions and support architecture-aware clarification of system behavior.
- Plan, support, and evaluate powernet testing at vehicle, bench, and system level.
- Support release preparation and technical documentation according to project milestones.
- MGS/MGC responsibility
- Act as module-group speaker/coordinator for the relevant powernet scope and coordinate topics across project management, line functions, integration teams, and suppliers.
- Clarify and steer cost, maturity, timing, and technical-concept topics for the module-group scope.
- Prepare decision-ready proposals, tradeoff analyses, and escalation inputs for target deviations and concept alternatives.
- Component localization responsibility
- Support localization of 12V powernet-related components for local vehicle projects.
- Coordinate technical topics with suppliers, local teams, and global counterparts regarding component behavior, maturity, feasibility, and implementation constraints.
- Clarify component-level interfaces and support evaluation of impacts on system behavior, validation, and release readiness.
- Network development and troubleshooting responsibility
- Take technical responsibility for China-relevant network topics, including adaptation, integration, validation, and issue handling.
- Clarify and further develop network architecture, communication requirements, signal paths, wake-up and sleep behavior, and network-management concepts.
- Coordinate implementation and validation of network-related hardware and software topics at ECU, bench, and vehicle level, including AUTOSAR-related communication interfaces where applicable.
- Analyze communication-, signal-, and topology-related issues for Ethernet, CAN FD, LIN, and FlexRay networks and support corrective actions and release recommendations.
- Support local documentation, release preparation, and first-level technical clarification for network-related changes and incidents.
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Provide technical support for testing, production, quality, aftersales, and vehicle integration stakeholders.
- Ensure information exchange and know-how transfer with counterparts in Germany and support local implementation.
- Coordinate cross-functional issue resolution and interface clarification between powernet functions, ECUs, components, and related systems.
Qualifications
- University degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a similar field.
- First automotive-industry experience or 2–3 years of work experience at OEMs or suppliers.
- 2–3 years of experience in overall vehicle EE system development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, or communication-network development.
- Strong preference for hands-on experience in communication-network development, network architecture, cross-ECU interface clarification, and AUTOSAR-based communication development.
- Knowledge of low-voltage powernet behavior, energy management, load management, vehicle EE networking, network management, wake-up and sleep behavior, ECU interfaces, and validation.
- Knowledge of automotive Ethernet, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, and AUTOSAR communication concepts.
- Proficiency in Vector CANoe and CANape; Simulink and CAPL are a plus.
- Experience with vehicle-level EE system testing, diagnostic tools such as DTS9, and cluster HIL is beneficial.
- Native or equivalent Chinese fluency and fluent written and spoken English; German is a plus.
- Self-driven team player with strong ownership, cross-functional coordination, intercultural communication skills, willingness to travel, and a valid Chinese driving license with at least two years of driving experience.
