Responsibilities
- Read and understand wiring diagrams and electrical drawings in a plant environment.
- Perform methodical fault finding, detection, and maintenance of electrical motors, pumps, control panels, and distribution boards to required standards.
- Work with sensor control, VSD, HMI, switchgear, AC motors, relay logic, temperature controllers, industrial instrumentation, and related systems.
- Understand PLC inputs and outputs.
- Repair production machinery, including site-related electrical work.
- Adhere fully to safety procedures, policies, regulations, and the OHS Act.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping.
- Participate actively in mini business operating activities.
Experience and skills
- Matric and a Trade Certificate as an Electrician.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in an FMCG electrical or automation environment.
- Experience with bottling machinery is an advantage.
- Familiarity with S7 and high-speed machinery.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and able to work independently or with limited supervision.
- Able to support business improvements and operational and segment goals.
- Able to work under pressure and make decisions when necessary.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Responsible and punctual, with adherence to HEINEKEN values.
- Willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
- Demonstrates good leadership behavior toward colleagues, superiors, and company values.
