Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Platform Engineer who will design, build, integrate, secure, optimize, and support the ServiceNow AI Platform. The role provides hands-on engineering expertise across platform configuration, enterprise integration, intelligent automation, security, performance, release management, and technical governance.

In this global role, you will design and deliver next-generation AI-powered solutions, intelligent workflows, and reusable accelerators that strengthen the ServiceNow portfolio and help shape the future of digital transformation. You will work with architects, product leaders, engineering teams, and business stakeholders across regions to build scalable platform capabilities and accelerate AI-driven automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer, configure, enhance, and support ServiceNow platform capabilities across development, test, and production environments.
  • Build reusable platform services using scoped applications, App Engine, Flow Designer, Workflow Studio, business rules, Script Includes, scheduled jobs, events, notifications, UI policies, client scripts, and platform APIs.
  • Design and implement integrations using Workflow Data Fabric, Integration Hub, Workflow Studio, prebuilt and custom spokes, actions, subflows, data fabric tables, and external data connectors.
  • Develop REST, SOAP, Scripted REST API, webhook, JDBC, SFTP, LDAP, email, file-transfer, message-queue, and event-driven integrations.
  • Configure MID Servers, connection and credential aliases, IntegrationHub ETL, import sets, transform maps, data sources, reconciliation, and scheduled ingestion processes.
  • Configure and support conversational AI using Virtual Agent, Now Assist, AI Search, natural-language capabilities, AI agents, AI Agent Studio, Assistant Designer, and conversational integrations.
  • Integrate ServiceNow workflows with robotics, autonomous devices, operational technology, IoT, sensors, digital control platforms, and connected assets.
  • Design and maintain roles, groups, access-control rules, security attributes, user criteria, scoped-application boundaries, and segregation-of-duties controls.
  • Monitor and optimize platform performance, availability, scalability, upgradeability, integrations, scripts, flows, APIs, reporting, archiving, and data-loading patterns.
  • Support source control, application repositories, update sets, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, testing, upgrades, patching, release validation, rollback planning, and production deployment.
  • Lead or support technical workshops, integration discovery, platform assessments, design reviews, security reviews, optimization sessions, and pre-sales activities.
  • Provide technical guidance to developers, administrators, integration engineers, and support teams while contributing reusable standards, templates, accelerators, and engineering patterns.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

  • Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
  • Current ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification or equivalent application-engineering expertise.
  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect certification is highly preferred.
  • At least three Certified Implementation Specialist certificates.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering ServiceNow solutions and leading technically complex implementations.
  • Advanced experience with Workflow Data Fabric, Integration Hub, Workflow Studio, Flow Designer, MID Server, REST, SOAP, Scripted REST APIs, import sets, transform maps, and custom integration development.
  • Strong JavaScript, Glide API, data-model, security, debugging, and performance-analysis skills.
  • Experience with conversational AI, AI agents, generative AI capabilities, or intelligent automation on ServiceNow.
  • Experience integrating enterprise workflows with OT, IoT, robotics, autonomous systems, connected assets, or similar physical-AI environments is strongly preferred.

Expected Experience

  • Eight or more years of relevant platform engineering, enterprise integration, application development, or automation experience.
  • Five or more years of hands-on ServiceNow platform experience.
  • Three or more years designing and delivering complex ServiceNow integrations and platform-engineering solutions.
  • At least two substantial end-to-end ServiceNow implementations or major platform-transformation programs.
  • Experience in large, regulated, multinational, government, financial services, healthcare, energy, utilities, telecommunications, manufacturing, or similarly complex organizations.

Working Arrangements

The role will be primarily remote, although on-site working may be required depending on customer and project needs. The candidate must participate in workshops, governance meetings, critical deployments, incident support, and delivery activities across global time zones.
