Purpose and overall relevance for the organization

Assist management with day-to-day store maintenance while providing excellent service and observing and maintaining all store policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of adidas service to each customer.
• Complete regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, and other payment methods as needed.
• Assist with product ticketing and checking paperwork against items received.
• Support product flow from the stockroom to the sales floor on a fill-in basis.
• Assist with merchandise displays and follow suggestions or schedules provided by the store management team.
• Develop proficiency with the point-of-sale system and maintain integrity through attention to policy and procedure.
• Use selling techniques such as add-on sales and describing technical product information to enhance salesmanship and achieve store and position sales goals.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding the right product. Occasionally serve as a greeter at the front door during busy workdays.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including cleaning the store.
• Safeguard company assets and support loss prevention by monitoring the sales floor, reporting suspicious activity, and following security procedures.
• Participate in in-store and digital training provided by the company to build product knowledge and role best practice.
• Become familiar with Power BI tools to understand store performance, best sellers, and blackhole products.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Passion for retail and customer service.
• Ability to use initiative.
• Clear and upbeat communication skills.
• Flexibility to work during the week, evenings, and weekends.
• Previous fashion retail experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Adaptability and ability to handle various tasks and changing circumstances.

Education and experience

• Matric certificate.
• 0–1 years of retail experience.
