Purpose & overall relevance for the organization

Assist management in day-to-day store maintenance while providing excellent service and observing and maintaining all store policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of adidas service is given to each customer.
• Complete regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, and other payment methods as needed.
• Assist with product ticketing and checking paperwork against items received.
• Support product flow from the stockroom to the sales floor on a fill-in basis.
• Assist in developing merchandise displays and follow suggestions or schedules provided by the store management team.
• Attain proficiency with the point-of-sale system and maintain integrity through attention to policy and procedure.
• Use selling techniques such as add-on sales and describing technical product information to enhance salesmanship and reach sales goals.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding the right product; occasionally serve as a front-door greeter during busy periods.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including cleaning the store.
• Safeguard company assets and support loss prevention by monitoring the sales floor, reporting suspicious activity, and following security procedures.
• Participate in in-store and digital training to build product knowledge and role best practice.
• Familiarize yourself with Power BI tools to better understand store performance, best sellers, and blackhole products.

• Passion for retail and customer service.
• Ability to use initiative.
• Clear and upbeat communication skills.
• Flexibility to work during the week, evenings, and weekends.
• Previous fashion retail experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Adaptability and ability to handle various tasks and changing circumstances.

Requirements

• Matric certificate.
• 0–1 years of retail experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
• Enthusiasm, love for fashion, and confidence styling customers.
