Purpose and overall relevance for the organization
Assist management in day-to-day store maintenance while providing excellent service and observing and maintaining all store policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure the highest level of adidas service is given to each customer.
- Complete regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, and other payments as needed.
- Assist with product ticketing and checking paperwork against items received.
- Assist with product flow from the stockroom to the sales floor on a fill-in basis.
- Assist in developing merchandise displays and follow suggestions or schedules provided by the store management team.
- Attain proficiency with the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain integrity through attention to policy and procedure.
- Use selling techniques such as add-on sales and describing technical information to customers.
- Greet customers and assist them in finding the right product.
- Serve as a greeter at the front door during busy workdays when required.
- Maintain general housekeeping standards, including cleaning the store.
- Safekeep company assets and monitor the sales floor for loss prevention.
- Report suspicious activity and follow security procedures.
- Participate in in-store and digital training to maintain product knowledge and role best practice.
- Familiarize yourself with Power BI tools to understand store performance and product trends.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Passion for retail and customer service.
- Ability to use initiative.
- Clear and upbeat communication skills.
- Flexibility to work during the week, evenings, and weekends.
- Previous fashion retail experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Adaptability and ability to handle varied tasks and changing circumstances.

Required education and experience
- Matric certificate.
- 0–1 years of retail experience.
