Atos is seeking a Pega Lead Architect to own the overall Pega solution architecture, translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable designs, and provide hands-on technical leadership to Pega development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture and technical design of Pega applications.
- Lead solution design across case management, workflows, data models, integrations, security, and user experience.
- Define application architecture, reusable components, enterprise design patterns, and implementation standards.
- Provide technical leadership to Pega Senior System Architects, System Architects, and development teams.
- Review solution designs and implementation approaches for compliance with Pega guardrails and engineering best practices.
- Lead complex technical design decisions and resolve architecture and performance challenges.
- Design scalable integration patterns using REST APIs, services, connectors, data pages, messaging, and enterprise integration technologies.
- Define authentication, authorization, access control, and security architecture.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, availability, resilience, security, and maintainability requirements.
- Establish application monitoring, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting approaches.
- Define DevOps, CI/CD, branching, deployment, and release management approaches for Pega applications.
- Support production readiness, deployment planning, and technical assurance activities.
- Work with Business Architects, Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Security Architects, and Integration Architects.
- Lead technical workshops and communicate architecture decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor Pega engineers and support engineering capability across delivery teams.
- Perform design and code reviews and manage technical debt.
- Support estimation, delivery planning, technical risk management, and dependency management.
- Act as the Pega technical authority and escalation point throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise applications using the Pega Platform.
- Experience as a Pega Lead System Architect or Solution Architect on large and complex programmes.
- Deep knowledge of Pega case management, application architecture, data modelling, and integration.
- Experience with REST APIs, integration services, connectors, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience designing secure Pega solutions, including authentication, authorization, and role-based or attribute-based access controls.
- Knowledge of Pega performance optimisation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Pega DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and enterprise deployment approaches.
- Experience delivering solutions in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to lead multiple Pega development teams and provide architecture governance.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills.
Certification
Mandatory: Certified Pega Lead System Architect (CPLSA/CLSA).
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Pega Infinity '24/'25 or later.
- Experience with Pega Constellation architecture and DX API.
Essential Criteria – SC Eligibility
To be eligible for SC clearance, you must have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the past 5 years.
