Part Time Seasonal Sales Associate - adidas Markville Mall location (#2043)

Purpose

Assist customers in determining which products and services best fit their needs and promote merchandise sales by meeting or exceeding productivity standards. Maintain awareness of product information, promotions, advertising, inventory, customer service, and accurate sales transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting adidas merchandise and provide information about products, materials, technology, and functionality.
• Uphold adidas customer service standards by listening to customer needs and providing product information.
• Drive and close sales using adidas selling techniques and the in-store AOS system where available.
• Complete cash, credit, debit, and other customer sales transactions.
• Maintain store appearance, process and replenish merchandise, and assist with customer service inquiries.
• Maintain knowledge of adidas products, programs, promotions, and advertising.
• Support a respectful team environment and adhere to adidas brand values, policies, procedures, and sales associate competencies.
• Assist with telephone duties and inventory control.
• Perform other duties as required by store management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively to customers and employees in one-on-one and small-group situations.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations and use common sense to carry out instructions.
• Use a point-of-sale system and demonstrate a basic understanding of cash register functions and procedures.
• Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, statutory holidays, and overtime during peak sales periods.
• Regularly stand and talk or hear; frequently walk, handle objects, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently lift or move up to 12 kg and occasionally lift or move up to 34 kg.
• Be proficient in spoken and written English and French.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
• Three to six months of retail experience is preferred.
