Paint Technician - Pre-Treatment and E-Coat

• Prepare the workplace for manual activities and retrieve required materials, documents, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain stock levels, organization, and proper 5S practices.
• Seal interior and exterior seams and apply PVC protection and Sika while meeting required surface quality standards.
• Polish, buff, sand, and clean parts and van bodies according to the correct methods and materials.
• Inspect finished work, perform repairs, document defects, and complete 100% inspections of parts and van bodies.
• Perform minor repairs and cleaning of paint tools and equipment, including filters, nozzles, lances, pistols, bells, and injectors.
• Assist less experienced employees with training and participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
• Follow instructions, work procedures, and all safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience, or a relevant certificate and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Preferred: 3 years of relevant experience, or a relevant certificate and 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic craftsmanship and technical understanding.
• Basic hand and power tool familiarity.
• Experience using buffers or sanders on automotive paint and experience in an automotive paint environment preferred.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
