Purpose
The Operations Supervisor is a member of the leadership team responsible for launching and managing adidas’ newest ecommerce and retail Distribution Center. This position supports scalable operations, rapid growth, and long-term business strategy.
The Operations Supervisor continuously optimizes distribution center operations by engaging stakeholders, improving operational metrics, refining processes, and removing waste. The successful candidate demonstrates business judgment, supply chain experience, cross-functional collaboration, analytical ability, and a proven record of delivering results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a specific functional area in the Distribution Center and be accountable for productivity and quality targets.
- Train and manage distribution center associates.
- Maintain full working knowledge of WCS and WMS platforms.
- Manage collection, reporting, and feedback regarding operations functions using SAP, Excel, queries, and WMS reporting.
- Report on operations metrics evaluating productivity, quality, and safety.
- Maintain OSHA safety standards, including reporting accidents, injuries, damages, and potential safety threats.
Key Relationships
Interface with the Distribution Director, Transportation, Distribution Supervisors, Managers, and Associates.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience operating in high-volume ecommerce operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with associates and senior distribution center management.
- Ability to meet critical deadlines through effective planning and organization.
- Strong analytical and data manipulation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to walk and stand extensively on hard surfaces.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of related industry experience.
