About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Consultant with deep expertise in EU regulatory frameworks, as well as a NIS2 Specialist, to strengthen our compliance and cybersecurity governance programs. You will advise, implement, and manage initiatives aligned with European security and compliance directives, ensuring effective risk management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support security and compliance initiatives aligned with NIS2 requirements.
  • Support clients in their NIS2 journey.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maturity evaluations, and design internal control frameworks.
  • Advise on governance structures, compliance reporting, and regulatory alignment.
  • Drive ISO 27001 implementation and act as an Information Security Officer advisor where needed.
  • Support cybersecurity and compliance project and program management.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on NIS2 requirements and advise on implementation and compliance strategies.
  • Conduct NIS2 gap analyses and design risk mitigation and reporting processes.
  • Train and guide stakeholders on NIS2 obligations.
  • Drive NIS2 business development initiatives, identify opportunities, and support presales activities, RFOs, and RFPs.

Qualifications

  • Ideally 2–5 years of experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance, preferably in public and industry sectors.
  • Proven experience with information security frameworks, particularly ISO 27001.
  • Knowledge and experience with CyFun.
  • Hands-on experience as an Information Security Officer or security manager on larger projects.
  • Strong project management experience, preferably in multinational environments.
  • ISO 27001 certification is required.
  • CISA, CISM, or another relevant ISO certification is desirable.
  • English plus either French or Dutch is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and structured risk and compliance skills.
  • A consulting mindset, hands-on attitude, autonomy, and ability to build trust with stakeholders.
