Key Responsibilities
- Technology Leadership: Monitor cloud and connectivity best practices and integrate tools, platforms, and practices for complex connected-car IoT applications.
- Product Management: Promote a customer-centric approach, define data-driven metrics, and coordinate with global product owners and stakeholders.
- Program Management: Implement agile practices at scale, including SAFe, program increments, synchronization, and delivery cadence. Coach and mentor teams on agile best practices.
- People Development: Support technical training, software development practices, team building, international collaboration, feedback, and coaching.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to organizational standards and manage relevant operational topics.
Required Skills and Experience
- Production-level development and operations experience with AWS or Azure Cloud.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Pulumi, Terraform, or ARM.
- Experience developing microservices with Java and/or Golang.
- Proficiency with CI/CD for application deployment, management, and monitoring.
- 12 to 15 years of software experience and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
- At least 3 years of experience managing software development teams for cloud-native applications and platforms.
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices, software engineering life-cycle practices, and international stakeholder management.
- Experience coaching and mentoring direct reports, including compensation management and appraisal discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive engineering or related domain knowledge.
- Exposure to international projects and global stakeholder management.
- Experience with Daimler systems or similar global platforms.
- Agile, DevOps, or cloud certifications.
