Job Overview

The LIC (Logistic Information Center) connects Material Planning with the logistics and production shop floor. This position coordinates, directs, monitors, implements, tracks, and reports activities related to daily production, including internal and external warehouse management and logistics service providers. The role takes immediate action to secure parts supply for production lines and works in a shift model.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate production change notices and upcoming changes to business partners.
  • Serve as the logistics hotline contact for the logistics and production shop floor.
  • Control material flow to production lines and analyze inventory to secure supply.
  • Coordinate actions involving parts from conventional deliveries.
  • Develop processes, procedures, and training support to maintain consistent inventory and ERP data.
  • Manage plant parts controlling, including incident reporting, multiple reports, and preventive actions.
  • Monitor parts movements to ensure accurate invoicing and payment, identify trends, and estimate budgets.
  • Monitor, coordinate, and direct logistics shop-floor activities during launch, ramp-up, and production.
  • Provide management feedback on accuracy, procedure problems, and corrective actions.
  • Work with system parameters such as unloading point, load carrier class, car set, and sequence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related Engineering field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in automotive operations or logistics, preferably material handling, shop-floor management, or production supply.
  • Knowledge of logistics, order management, shop-floor management, supplier management, products, and parts.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours and overtime, including weekends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, proactive, and organized.

Shift

This position is currently available on 3rd Shift. Normal hours are Sunday from 8:50pm to 6:05am and Monday through Thursday from 10:05pm to 6:05am. Hours may change based on business needs, and training may occur on other shifts.
