Purpose of the position: To develop and lead the execution of the Company's long-term integrated Marketing and Trade Marketing strategy in alignment with business objectives. The role is accountable for driving sustainable and profitable growth through increased market share, strengthened brand equity, portfolio optimisation, effective commercial and trade marketing initiatives, and the delivery of superior consumer, shopper, and customer insights and experiences.

The incumbent will provide strategic leadership across business strategy, category development, brand management, innovation, trade marketing and overall commercial execution to ensure the achievement of business performance targets and the creation of long-term value for the organisation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A recognised Post Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in an FMCG environment, specialising in multi-category marketing, of which at least 5 years should have been at Executive level.
  • Proven experience in brand management, portfolio management, category management, commercial strategy, and trade marketing.
  • Strong understanding of consumer, shopper, and customer insights and their application in growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing and commercial plans that deliver profitable growth.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing marketing investments and profitability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing performance analytics tools.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop, execute, and optimise integrated marketing, commercial, and trade marketing strategies aligned with company objectives and growth ambitions.
  • Lead brand and portfolio management, ensuring sustainable growth, enhanced brand equity, and profitable market share expansion.
  • Drive consumer-centric marketing through the effective use of market, consumer, shopper, and customer insights.
  • Develop and implement category growth strategies, customer value propositions, pricing architecture, and promotional effectiveness programmes.
  • Lead innovation pipelines across products, packaging, and consumer experiences to support long-term business growth.
  • Oversee trade marketing execution across all channels, ensuring best-in-class shopper engagement, activation, merchandising, and point-of-sale excellence.
  • Manage marketing investments and budgets to maximise return on investment and achieve business performance targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, customers, agencies, and strategic partners.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and adherence to company policies, brand standards, and corporate requirements.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, consumer behaviour, and channel opportunities to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Marketing and Trade Marketing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Global Marketing teams to deliver integrated commercial outcomes.
