About the Role
The Market Manager is responsible for achieving the performance goals of the HEINEKEN USA portfolio through assigned distributors and their market’s respective account base. The Market Manager is the key voice to distributors in collaboratively planning the highest value business activity, identifying opportunity in the market, and driving alignment across the distributor organization to HEINEKEN USA strategic initiatives.
This position requires effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the ability to balance multiple demands, and visibility in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Successfully implement, drive, and execute the business planning process.
- Lead communication and collaboration with internal partners, retailers, and the distributor network to achieve business objectives.
- Align assigned distributors to execute national, regional, and local chain priorities.
- Deliver volume goals through programming, distribution, retail standards, decile segmentation, incentive management, KPI tracking, and regular distributor reviews.
- Collaborate with national and regional marketing partners on sponsorships and local activations, including oversight of agency partners where applicable.
- Ensure execution excellence at retail through key account visits, data analysis, and evaluation of distributor execution results.
- Uncover market insights and opportunities using available data sources and activate their benefits in the market.
- Manage market and distributor budgets for maximum effectiveness and strategically allocate resources across distributors.
- Oversee pricing, inventory, bill backs, and invoicing.
- Work with operations teams, distributors, retailers, and chain teams to plan inventory levels and minimize out-of-stocks.
- Manage forecast adjustments based on distribution, display, innovation, and chain goals.
- Tell compelling stories of value, influence external partners, and train, coach, and inspire distributor teams.
- Deliver effective written and presentation-based communication to internal and external partners.
Basic Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience managing within a retail and/or three-tier distribution environment.
- Financial and business acumen in data analysis, reporting, and market knowledge.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 32 lbs and meet physical requirements including stooping, reaching, bending, twisting, walking, standing, and sitting in a vehicle for extended periods.
- Solicitor’s permit required.

- Strategic business planning experience.
- Sales excellence, including distributor dynamics, selling and negotiation skills, and sales performance management.
- Effective sales meeting skills.
- Highly developed Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with syndicated data platforms such as Nielsen, IRI, Spectra, or Numerator.
Additional Requirements
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.
- Must obtain a valid solicitor’s permit upon hire.
- This position is not available for visa sponsorship.
- This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $110,000 - $125,000 plus annual bonus.
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits with matching 401(k) plan.
- 20 days paid vacation and unlimited wellness days.
- $200 monthly beverage allowance.
