Purpose

Responsible for ensuring lead times and buy-ready status enable on-time buys and preseason availability, while comparing demand plans to supply readiness. The Manager will play a critical role in aligning supply chain operations with market demand and closing gaps cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage lead times to ensure timely purchasing or phasing of seasonal products.
  • Ensure products achieve buy-ready status to enable on-time buys and preseason availability.
  • Compare demand plans to supply readiness, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
  • Close gaps on key programs requiring a buy-to-forecast model, especially long-lead-time or specialty products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain operations with market demand.
  • Track KPIs related to product availability and lead times.
  • Use data analytics to inform decisions and improve supply chain processes.
  • Prepare and present reports on lead times, buy-ready status, and supply readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of supply chain principles, including lead time management, demand planning, and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of wholesale go-to-market lifecycles, demand planning, supply planning, and fulfillment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with buy-to-forecast models and supply chain planning.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, drive continuous improvement, and engage stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • College or university degree focused on supply chain management; postgraduate education preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience in logistics, footwear, or apparel.
  • Three to five years of experience, preferably in supply chain management or customer service within the footwear and apparel industry.
  • People or stakeholder management experience is a plus.
