Manager, Technical Design Apparel, Global Jordan PCC

We’re looking for a Technical Design Manager to join the Jordan Apparel Product Creation team. In this role, you will be both a player and a coach, owning complex product and managing a team of Technical Designers/Developers. You will guide the apparel creation process to ensure timely commercialization and best-in-class product.

What will you work on?

• Execute global development strategy and dimensional strategies.
• Partner with cross-functional counterparts to establish best practices and align digital product creation processes.
• Guide the team throughout the product creation process and provide technical expertise.
• Lead and influence calendars, and manage overarching changes and exceptions.
• Lead team meetings, support Technical Designers/Developers, and manage your own style count.
• Partner with cross-functional teams at critical checkpoints and provide clear communication.
• Balance short-term target dates with long-term strategy.
• Encourage diversity, professional growth, inclusion and collaboration.

Who will you work with?

You will partner with Product Design, Graphic Design, Product Management, Product Creation Centers, Wear Testing, Materials and Product Integrity. This role reports to the PCC Development Director.

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Textile Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of apparel development experience or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of apparel development from inception through production, including pattern making, grading, construction, costing, manufacturing, print techniques, embroidery, materials and machinery.
• Leadership, coaching, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience leading and influencing across an organization.
• Experience managing a team is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Office and confidence using Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience with CLO, Browzwear, Lotta or other 3D apparel development software.
• Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally.
