What is the opportunity?
CACEIS Malaysia is an asset servicing centre of excellence in Putrajaya, providing services to institutional clients across Europe. As a Tax Operations Manager, you will provide clients with timely, accurate and efficient tax operations processing and deliverables to help them obtain favourable tax status in their transactions and payments.

Working hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
What will you do?
- Support clients in securing favourable tax relief at source and, where applicable, file tax reclaim submissions.
- Review and submit relevant tax documents and forms to agents, ensuring clients’ tax status is up to date and compliant with market requirements.
- Support clients with tax-related queries and engage relevant stakeholders, including account managers, client service teams and adjacent operations teams.
- Connect with tax authorities and follow applicable tax guidelines and rules.
- Build a high-performance team by hiring, training and developing employees, providing feedback and conducting semi-annual performance reviews.
- Ensure business recovery planning is conducted and tested regularly.
- Provide leadership by promoting values, communicating quality standards and meeting senior-management deliverables.
- Manage resources to ensure daily tasks and business-as-usual deliverables are completed to a high standard and within deadlines.
- Use operational data, metrics, KPIs and tracker logs to support business decisions.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date operating procedures.

Training and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of management experience in asset servicing tax operations.
- Strong understanding of tax operations in key European and American markets.
- Experience leading a team of five or more, or developing multiple junior employees.
- Strong accountability, problem-solving, communication and escalation skills.
- Excellent command of English.
- Six to ten years of overall experience.
- Nice to have: experience in custody operations, including corporate actions, settlements, payments and cash management.
- Strong emotional intelligence, professionalism, business acumen, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
