The Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI) team drives excellence in reporting and analytics capabilities to increase transparency and visibility across the entire Supply Chain organization. The team also provides insights and scenario-based simulations to drive improvements.

This role ensures that Global Supply Chain Management has visibility into key data points and performance drivers so relevant decisions can be made with a clear understanding of business objectives, performance, and KPI impacts.

Key Deliverables

  • Create transparency on key performance drivers in the most automated way.
  • Contribute to a unified version of the truth and enhance collaboration across functions.
  • Ensure relevant attributes and metrics are developed in formats and frequencies suited to business requirements and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

SCM functional data, process, and systems knowledge

  • Maintain close connections with markets and Global functions to understand current setups and practices.
  • Interact with BPMs and system Product Owners across SCM functions to capture system and process changes.
  • Plan interdependencies between projects and ensure suitable timelines are maintained for projects and process improvements.

Back-end data engineering and product ownership

  • Lead a team of external data engineers and IT developers, define data engineering tasks, and monitor ETL processes.
  • Act as a solution architect to implement efficient data models and pipelines in line with lakehouse data governance rules.
  • Optimize data pipelines and attribute and metric logic to reduce costs and improve performance.
  • Act as Product Owner by translating Supply Chain Intelligence reporting use cases into consistent and harmonized technical requirements.
  • Prioritize, plan, monitor, and communicate reporting development in an Agile environment with IT engineers and the Global Data Domain team.
  • Recommend and implement data management improvements, including systems, interfaces, and data flows, to ensure efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Drive data quality, standardization, and harmonization.
  • Manage Supply Chain end-to-end visibility improvements and deliver relevant reporting products on time.
  • Manage new Supply Chain visibility requirements from demand and incident intake through communication and training.
  • Create detailed and up-to-date documentation.

BI reporting

  • Collaborate with teams involved in the end-to-end data flow to understand interdependencies and responsibilities.
  • Develop technical knowledge of the adidas reporting framework to support rapid issue identification and resolution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • End-to-end mindset and ability to see the bigger picture.

  • Excellent logical thinking, analytical, and strategic skills.
  • Strong change and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of tasks independently and communicate proactively at different organizational levels.
  • Strong coding skills, with SQL required; Python and PySpark desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or other database and data warehouse tools.
  • Strong understanding of data lakes, ETL, deployment tools such as GitHub, and cloud technologies including AWS and Azure.
  • Understanding of BI tools such as Power BI.
  • Proficiency in relational database concepts and working knowledge of ERP, preferably SAP S/4HANA, and planning systems, preferably SAP IBP.
  • Experience participating in reporting and analytics projects.
  • Expertise in Agile project management principles and methodologies.
  • Good understanding of supply chain principles and operating processes.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in information technology, supply chain management, logistics, planning, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may substitute for the degree.
