Who You’ll Work With

You will be part of Nike’s Global Technology organization, working on internal Consumer Product & Innovation software tools that enable the creation of Nike footwear and apparel. You will report to the Engineering Director based in Bengaluru and manage a team of engineers while collaborating with Product Managers and Principal Engineers.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Proven success leading and developing high-performing engineering teams in collaborative environments.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology and software engineering, grounded in strong computer science fundamentals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant software engineering experience across the full software lifecycle.
  • Hands-on expertise with cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, APIs, domain-driven design, and microservices.
  • Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3.
  • Experience building modern web applications with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong understanding of architectural and integration patterns, data movement and enrichment, and enterprise security and privacy.
  • Knowledge of open-source technologies and make-versus-buy decisions across workflow, orchestration, content management, and data platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, product leaders, and business stakeholders across global time zones.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with extensive experience partnering with business teams.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience implementing and integrating AI, machine learning, and related data solutions is preferred.

What You’ll Work On

  • Lead capacity planning and sprint execution with Product Managers, Project Managers, and Lead Engineers.
  • Assign and manage development work across the team, including hands-on software development.
  • Partner with Principal Engineers on technical architecture and engineering best practices.
  • Support business stakeholder engagement with the Engineering Director.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery through code reviews and functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Build an engaged, high-performing team by creating opportunities to learn, grow, and deliver business impact.
  • Partner with teammates across global time zones.
