Who You’ll Work With
You will be part of the Global Technology organization working on Nike’s internal Consumer Product & Innovation software tools for enabling creation of Nike’s Footwear and Apparel. You will report to the team’s Engineering Director based in Bengaluru.
You will manage a team of engineers day to day, collaborate with the team’s Product Manager and Principal Engineers on software projects, and engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals.
Who We Are Looking For
- Proven success leading and developing high-performing engineering teams in collaborative environments
- 10+ years of experience in technology and software engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent professional experience
- Significant software engineering experience across the full software lifecycle
- Hands-on expertise with cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, APIs, domain-driven design, and microservices
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3
- Experience building modern web applications with React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Strong understanding of architectural and integration patterns, data movement and enrichment, and enterprise security and privacy
- Knowledge of open-source technologies and make-versus-buy decisions across workflow, orchestration, content management, and data platforms
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, product leaders, and business stakeholders across global time zones
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on continuous improvement
- Experience implementing and integrating AI, machine learning, and related data solutions preferred
What You’ll Work On
- Lead capacity planning and sprint execution with Product Managers, Project Managers, and Lead Engineers
- Assign and manage development work across the team, including hands-on software development
- Partner with Principal Engineers on technical architecture and engineering best practices
- Support business stakeholder engagement with your Engineering Director
- Ensure high-quality delivery through code reviews and functional, performance, and security testing
- Build an engaged, high-performing team by creating opportunities to learn, grow, and deliver business impact
- Partner with teammates across global time zones
