Secure the best availability for the business within the given cost constraints. Responsible for converting demand into supply, assisting the senior manager with consolidation, and providing actionable insights to meet KPIs and support continuous process improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end adidas Japan purchasing flow from receiving the demand plan through creating purchase orders and tracking delivery.
- Monitor demand-driven challenges and address suppliers when necessary.
- Execute purchase order management activities and liaise with internal departments to optimize availability, inventories, and costs.
- Compile and share operational reports to support measurement of key performance indicators and delivery performance.
- Analyze Japan reports and conduct activities around purchase order status, prioritization, transportation mode changes, and distribution from manufacturing factories.
- Communicate with Global Supply Planning, Sourcing, Order Management, and other internal stakeholders to optimize supply availability and meet retail introduction dates.
- Build regular interactions with internal stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy.
- Manage purchase orders monthly to ensure accurate information is available in internal systems.
- Identify improvement opportunities in purchase planning and delivery management and propose solutions for a seamless end-to-end flow from forecast through purchase order to delivery.
- Execute Supply Chain Management strategic initiatives based on priorities set by the line manager.

Global Product Supply, Shanghai HUB, Porto GBS Operation Team, Order Fulfillment and Distribution Center Operations, Demand Planning, Brand and Commercial teams, and local and global IT.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand supply chain issues and drive solutions.
- Strong team player able to work productively with diverse groups.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
- Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel and Power BI.
- Basic financial and logistics knowledge.
- SAP knowledge and Access database experience are a plus.
Required education and qualifications
- University or college graduate, or equivalent personal experience.
- 3–5 years of purchase operations experience.
- Business-level English.
