Purpose
A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Drive development, commercialization, product integrity, manufacturability, Create to Value (CTV), and performance to target FOB for all products and brands in the designated categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and commercialization for one or more categories, ensuring products exceed customer expectations for fit, comfort, design integrity, performance, perceived value, manufacturability, and quality.
- Provide technical expertise to transition design into samples and production while meeting manufacturability, material selection, material standards, development timelines, and cost targets.
- Continuously upgrade technical applications and processes and implement new technology in development and engineering.
- Manage relationships with factory development team leaders to upgrade sports category competence, development innovation capability, and technical expertise.
- Oversee the direct development process between Headquarters/Creation Center and Tier 1 factories.
- Manage cohesive, customer-focused cross-Sourcing Functions teams, making product integrity and Create to Value the paramount priorities.
- Exhibit product expertise and sports competence to influence the overall product direction of assigned categories.
- Make decisions within the defined development and commercialization scope and provide input on directives in related areas.
- Influence Headquarters teams and external parties and drive change using adidas Standards as the focus for managing and resolving conflicts.
- Role-model leadership that fosters a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion culture.
Key Relationships
Global Sourcing Product Operations, Sourcing Suppliers, Global Operations, and other global functions including Social and Environmental Affairs and Government Affairs.

Required Education and Experience
- University degree in engineering or a related area.
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in at least two functions.
