Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
As a Manager Omnichannel Analytics at adidas, you are responsible, in close cooperation with the LAM Data & BI organization, for developing the omnichannel and brand analytics function within the market using global frameworks for data governance, integration, reporting, and optimization.
Applying descriptive and advanced analytics, you will oversee the development and delivery of analytics services to market stakeholders, enabling data-driven decisions. You will lead omnichannel performance understanding and provide insights that help achieve regional plans. The role works closely with Business Intelligence, Data and Analytics teams, Brand teams, and Commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering
- Lead the development of Omnichannel Analytics tools across LAM by designing, building, testing, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Python within the Databricks ecosystem.
- Ensure data accuracy through quality assurance processes.
- Apply visualization techniques and design the content and appearance of data visuals.
- Operationalize and automate activities for efficient and timely production.
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports aligned to DNA standards.
- Automate refresh processes and ensure consistency with Gold-layer semantic models.
- Design, code, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor simple programs and scripts.
Data Analytics
- Monitor omnichannel product and channel performance.
- Connect performance data to consumer lifecycle data to understand buyer behavior and derive trends and opportunities across adidas channels and categories.
- Explore datasets, combining consumer and channel data to understand omnichannel performance and its impact on the consumer journey.
- Manage demand for insights, data, and analytics services within the area of responsibility.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Data, and Analytics teams to enable and refine analytical tools.
Consulting
- Support regional and market stakeholders on the value and use of omnichannel and product analytics.
- Deliver actionable recommendations, strong data storytelling, and clear calls to action.
- Translate business insights into high-quality, engaging, and easy-to-understand outputs.
- Act as a data-sources advocate inside the Dataverse team and help establish a Dataverse culture in the organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of SQL is required.
- Knowledge of R and/or Python is desired.
- Knowledge of SAP, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, or other tools is preferred.
- Experience in data analysis with strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Experience implementing projects or processes in data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- Basic understanding of machine learning techniques.
- Ability to work with numbers and large datasets, code, and translate data into analytical products and insights.
- Strong attention to detail and structured working style.
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Omnichannel analysis and commercial data-engineering project experience is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional degree in Business Intelligence, Data Science, Systems Engineering, IT, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in omnichannel analytics is a plus.
- Fluent written and spoken English at B2+ level.
- At least 5 years of experience.
