Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: Manage the development and sourcing of labels, hangtags and transportation packaging that meet the needs of Marketing and Subsidiaries, for all products, divisions and brands, including licensing operations as appropriate. Ensure that logistical and financial requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new Marketing concepts by ensuring that all aspects of Labeling and Packaging are considered and defined.
- Provide technical and legal compliance input to Marketing, Design and Project Management for new labeling and transportation packaging requirements while ensuring that items are suitable for bulk production and remain within cost, time and location parameters.
- Identify labeling requirements that comply with legal and customs requirements of importing countries and warehouse and distribution requirements.
- Manage development of Product Labels and Marketing Hangtags for all products, divisions and brands and implement them globally for production.
- Work with LOs, Tier-I and Tier-II suppliers to resolve label, hangtag and packaging issues.
- Establish project timelines and coordinate input from Marketing, Global Design & Events, PrePrint Provider and Label Provider.
- Anticipate and resolve problems.
- Negotiate global pricing for labels and hangtags with Tier-II suppliers.
- Ensure master data records in Creation Portal and SharePoint are correct and available on time.
- Manage label, hangtag and transportation packaging costing, maintain the cost database and provide price information to the Costing department and LOs.
- Work with Tier-I suppliers and material supply teams to ensure production timelines are met and communicate production-relevant details to factories and LOs.
- Maintain digital and physical archives for Product Labels and Marketing Hangtags.
- Maintain global Labeling and Packaging manuals and the global Hangtag SharePoint.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of logistics computer applications and MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
- Two to five years of experience in product development, preferably with knowledge of the footwear and textiles industries.
- Proven experience in business analysis and involvement in information gathering, analysis, recommendation and evaluation processes.
Minimum Qualifications
A four-year degree from an accredited college or university, with emphasis on business, information systems or operations.
