The DC Manager assumes responsibility for managing the inbound product flow of adidas from suppliers until stocks are booked, as well as managing and executing distribution center operations and the customer order book. The role coordinates supply and demand within the supply chain and ensures orders are fulfilled on time and in full.

The position manages and coaches the entire inbound and distribution center team in Egypt while building strong cross-functional relationships with supply chain management functions and stakeholders across retail, wholesale, e-commerce, and finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accurate and timely inbound product flow of adidas products.
  • Continuously streamline inbound processes and adhere to standards, policies, customs regulations, and controls.
  • Manage distribution center and transportation operations for B2B and B2C activities in Egypt.
  • Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure excellent warehouse management and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate the release of themes and campaigns with marketing and retail teams and ensure on-time deliveries to markets.
  • Establish reporting criteria for inbound and distribution center operations and ensure reports are published on schedule.
  • Support negotiations with third-party logistics providers and transporters and initiate tenders for contract renewals.
  • Prepare invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other documents for inbound and outbound shipments to support accurate customs duty payments and efficient clearance.
  • Lead timely submission of global KPIs and support inventory management.
  • Coach and manage the Egypt inbound and distribution center operations team.
  • Manage the Egypt supply chain budget, monitor performance, and lead efficiency initiatives.
  • Lead or participate in supply chain transformation initiatives, including e-commerce capabilities, automation, distribution center network strategy, and supply chain excellence.
  • Identify improvements that increase supply chain efficiency or improve customer experience.
  • Work cross-functionally with field operations and other functions to influence capacity planning and management.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain cluster head to understand forecasted volumes and priorities and motivate distribution center staff to deliver customer orders on time.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports, and project materials.
  • Measure forwarder performance regularly and communicate recommendations for analysis and improvement.
  • Manage local and global third-party logistics accounts, including volume allocation, processes, policies, contracts, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure adidas follows all local market requirements.

Key Relationships

Global and regional teams; local retail, e-commerce, DPC, wholesale, and finance teams; freight forwarders, customs brokers, distribution centers, and last-mile service providers.

Skills and Experience Required

  • University degree in management, business, or engineering; logistics or supply chain preferred. Postgraduate study is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, primarily Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI and SAP experience preferred.
  • At least 6 years of overall experience in logistics and distribution center operations, preferably in apparel, footwear, retail, or e-commerce.
  • At least 2 years of management experience.
  • Ability to manage a multifaceted operations team and understand unified commerce principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including structuring problems, conducting detailed analysis, and implementing recommendations.
