At Global Logistics, we oversee the transportation of goods from their country of origin to market distribution centres, utilizing a global network of logistics partners and service providers tailored to various product, market, and customer needs.
Digital Transformation is a key focus area at adidas. The goals are to transform Global Logistics and inbound operations into a world-class, digital-first organization; maximize value through data and digital technologies; and enable real-time visibility of the logistics supply chain through state-of-the-art digital platforms and processes.
As a Manager, you will support the design, development, and delivery of digital opportunities, collaborating with SCM, Markets, LSPs, Product teams, and data sources.
Key Objectives
- Assist in implementing digital transformation programs to deliver efficient, high-quality, user-centered products and services.
- Support the execution and monitoring of digital transformation projects.
- Contribute to organizational digitization by implementing the latest technological advances.
- Explore digital innovation and best practices.
- Help develop an innovation roadmap, translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Assist in leading and reporting on digital transformation projects across global logistics and cross-functional teams.
- Identify, track, and manage dependencies between projects and systems.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of AI agent or bot projects from pilot to production, ensuring business value, security and compliance, adoption, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
- Support and direct the team while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Develop and mentor team members.
- Set clear goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
Project Management
- Identify and co-plan opportunities involving simplification, digitization, and automation.
- Assist in leading global, cross-functional projects end-to-end using project management methodology.
- Understand project scope, establish business cases, and design project plans.
- Coordinate resources, manage financials, monitor project variables, and implement corrective actions.
- Finalize and hand over projects, ensuring documentation is approved and stored appropriately.
Continuous Improvement
- Collect stakeholder input on improvement areas.
- Develop a continuous improvement pipeline and align delivery timelines.
- Provide inputs to demand planning by assessing budget and resource requirements.
- Review completed projects and capture lessons learned.
Dependency Management
- Identify project dependencies and impacts, raise issues, and co-create solutions with sponsors.
- Develop contingency plans to manage dependency-related risks.
- Resolve conflicts and escalations by proposing solutions to project sponsors.
Change Management
- Engage key stakeholders early to gather input, address concerns, and build support.
- Provide training and resources for new processes, tools, or systems.
- Empower change champions and address resistance proactively.
- Implement measures to sustain change through regular reviews and reinforcement.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of supply chain dynamics, logistics, transportation processes, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of digital technologies and process optimization.
- Ability to collaborate with, guide, influence, and manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial, numerical, and analytical skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience delivering conversational AI or agent-based projects, including data quality, prompt testing, AI platform scoping, and executive communication.
- Recognized program management qualification and experience managing large budgets and digital change initiatives.
- Familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SAP, Infor Nexus, RPA, UiPath, and Copilot.
- Fluent English skills and willingness to travel as required.
Requisite Education and Qualifications
- University degree focused on Supply Chain Management or related areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in strategy, project management, digital transformation, process re-engineering, or technology within retail, logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
- Experience in digital transformation, AI/ML, data science, ERP implementation, or UI/UX research projects.
- PMP, Agile PM, or SAFe POPM certification is a strong advantage.
