CACEIS Malaysia is seeking a Manager, Custody Settlements to lead the Settlements team in ensuring client trades settle on time, correctly, and in accordance with safekeeping policies and procedures.

What will you do?

  • Lead the team in ensuring all trades settle on time and correctly while protecting the interests of CACEIS and its clients.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly calls with key stakeholders.
  • Manage team performance against goals and provide continuous improvement ideas.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, support satisfactory audit results, and provide ongoing training on operational procedures.
  • Hire, train, develop, provide feedback to, and conduct performance reviews for team members.
  • Ensure Business Recovery Planning is conducted and tested regularly.
  • Promote company values, communicate quality standards, and develop against the leadership model.
  • Manage resources to ensure daily tasks and BAU deliverables are completed to a high standard and within deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Custody or Middle Office asset servicing operations.
  • 6–10 years of minimum experience level.
  • Experience managing reconciliation for sensitive products such as cash, FX, derivatives, or settlement.
  • Extensive experience leading a team of five or more, or grooming multiple junior staff.
  • Strong understanding of Custody Settlement and resourcefulness in navigating the organization.
  • Good command of English and the ability to communicate with European stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, escalation, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong accountability, business acumen, emotional intelligence, professionalism, and maturity.
