Purpose
A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the most agile, competitive, digitalized and cleanest supply base in the industry. Manage costing performance of the Sourcing Liaison Offices through implementation of sourcing costing strategies, policies, processes, systems and standards, assuring company go-in margin targets are met and optimizing landed costs through an understanding of economic trends and trade opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure execution of standard costing processes, lead relevant costing teams and Tier 1 costing teams in achieving target Free On Board goals within schedule.
- Ensure implementation of adidas policies, procedures and costing strategies within the supply base.
- Train and assist Sourcing Operations teams and Tier 1 suppliers in applying cost drivers, costing frameworks, standards, policies, processes and consistent cost sheets.
- Collect data for selected products, ranges or categories and participate in projects.
- Execute costing audits and propose improvement areas with supplier partners.
- Provide feedback to Sourcing Costing and Sourcing Operations on global costing policies, procedures and new systems.
- Facilitate cost-saving discussions with product creation teams, including yield efficiency and mold cavity proposals, and act as the escalation point for surcharges.
- Collaborate with Development, Materials and other functions to ensure products are developed to cost targets.
- Ensure sourcing operations comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of product construction and manufacturing operations, specializing in product costing, product development or production.
- Strong understanding of country, regional and global cost drivers and end-to-end costing and sourcing processes.
- Strong analytical and systematic approach to consolidating and communicating information.
- Good presentation, negotiation, influencing, people and communication skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to work with Product Data Management Systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- University or technical degree in apparel, footwear or manufacturing.
- At least 5 years of experience in the apparel and footwear industry with costing responsibility.
