Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation

This role is responsible for eCommerce online business sales by leading product planning and trading and meeting sales growth targets in official .Com and eMarketplaces, while ensuring business opportunities through an optimal approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage product master data and analyze historical orders, sell-through, and inventory days lasting to support buying strategies for the adidas brand and platforms.
  • Support eCom buyers with strategic actions and recommendations based on analysis and trends for current and future buys, including volume and distribution, to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Drive Trading 2.0 by enhancing data-driven and logic-based trading capabilities to maximize sell-through, optimize inventory, and drive sales growth.
  • Drive eCommerce ambition planning, especially commercial moment performance, through operational excellence, strategic assortment planning, optimized pricing and discount strategies, and effective inventory management.
  • Support enhancements to product planning systems and tools across global markets.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report sell-through and inventory, including old-season inventory, to eCom Buying leadership and the team through daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Act as control tower for central buying, stock replenishment, take-back, and stock trading based on channel sell-through status.
  • Flag and propose contingency plans, including optimized markdown inputs, when sell-through underperforms or outperforms.
  • Support eCommerce data analytics through business intelligence systems, including Power BI, AI, and automation.
  • Manage people through structured coaching, regular feedback, and clear ownership.

Key Relationships

Korea eCommerce team; Korea Brand Business Unit and Marketing; Korea GTM Planning & Insight teams; Korea Finance Demand Planning team; Korea Supply Chain Management team; third-party vendors; and the Global Digital Buying & Trading team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills, especially in product analysis.
  • Attention to detail and a structured, organized, and process-oriented approach.
  • Fluent in English and Korean.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Korea eCommerce landscape.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure.
  • Ability to identify trends and apply them at the right time.
  • People management skills.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 6–10 years of experience in buying and merchandising within retail, eCommerce, sporting goods, fashion, or FMCG.
  • Outstanding communication skills, drive, and passion for sales, with awareness of online business trends.
  • University degree or above.
  • Advanced IT skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
